Timothy
Laughridge spent his childhood
years living in the North
Shores of Boston in the
town of Manchester by
the Sea and currently
has his home-base in Newport,
Rhode Island. His love
for the sea and for sailing
steered him toward a successful
career in the yachting
world. Timothy has spent
the better part of 25
years serving in various
capacities in the yachting
industry beginning in
1979 as a gourmet chef
aboard one of the most
popular sailing charter
yachts of the time. Timothy
worked his way through
the ranks as a steward,
deckhand, mate, and finally
on to captain His 20 years
experience as a captain
is multi-faceted, including
private yachts, charters,
world-wide ocean deliveries,
grand-prix racing (both
in- and off-shore), with
his last two campaigns
being multi-yacht fleet
management positions.
In parallel, Timothy has
worked as a Project Manager
for both new-builds and
refits, working with yacht
yards around the globe.
Currently,
working in the capacity
of broker and captain,
Timothy is on a world-wide
campaign as captain aboard
yacht Sariyah and Team
Manager the FARR 60 race
boat RIMA. Timothy acts
as the world-wide representative
for Bartram&Brakenhoff,
and can be found working
various mega-yacht boat
shows, regattas, and sailing
events pin-pointed around
the world. He is an active
member of the New York
Yacht Club, the Storm
Trysail Club, a life-time
member of the Antigua
Yacht Club, and a race
committee member for the
prestigious Newport, Nantucket,
and St. Barths Bucket
Regattas. In addition
to his vast experience
in virtually all aspects
of the sailing industry,
along with his world-wide
cultural knowledge and
innovative thinking, Timothy
is enthusiastic and outgoing,
with a smile for everyone
and a true enjoyment of
the sport of sailing.
